Okay, well I didn't quite make it to Black Lake today. I had good intentions believe me but my future roomy called and needed a ride so I helped her out. She's leaving on a holiday tomorrow so was desperate to get her hair done before visiting her family. What's a girl to do, so I took her to Windsor and had a great opportunity to see a bit more of Nova Scotia. The upside is that I was able to drop off some of my gear at her place which was great help to me.
Mr. Finnigan has not been well. Normally he is a lovable, happy, cuddly little dog but he got an ear infection recently and has been fighting a bit of infection. I took him to the vet to get him examined and some drops for his ears to the tune of $138.00, but the vet said he was in excellent shape otherwise and thought he was a great dog. Well, I'd have to agree with that as he has been the best companion not just this past month but ever since I got him as a pup in Whitehorse, Yukon. That is where I'm from originally. I've included a particularly cute picture of him in the blog that was taken in Port Alberni, British Columbia where I was working at the time.
If anyone has a picture of their dog/cat/pet they would like to share, please send it to me and I'll post in on the blog with a brief description.
So here's to our wonderful pets who are happy to see us every time we come home, who cuddle us when we are sick, and love us unconditionally. Mr. Finnigan!
I will hopefully get to Black Lake tomorrow but it is doubtful as I have an engagement to attend tomorrow evening celebrating 'Nunavut Day'. Never been to one so wouldn't want to miss it. I'll keep you posted.
Contest Update: By my calculation the 'follower' furthest from Nanaimo, British Columbia actually lives in Wolfville. 'John' is our unofficial winner and I will be advising him next Friday (July 17th) if I've not heard a 'nay' from someone who might live further away that I'm not aware of. So if you have been following and think you live further away from Nanaimo than John in Wolfville, you have until the 16th to let me know.
