I don't count last Thursday as it was a late arrival for me. Well a whole week finds me just fine and enjoying the summer sun. Actually, I spent most of the morning at the 'office' reading and undertaking the torturous task of setting up systems access. Two days, six people, and four buildings later I now have wireless internet, printing capability, and email access at Acadia. This huge lol ! ! !
The rest of the afternoon was spent hunting for that perfect picture and I found a great canvas at Grande Pre. A beautiful community with dusty back roads, long beaches, and cottages by the dozens. I stopped at one particularly lovely home and asked permission to take some pictures of their garden. They agreed and I wandered around the garden with Mr. Finnigan in tow. I thought they turned out quite well and thanks to Vincent for allowing me some time in his garden.

I also found this fabulous old church, St. Charles, which was erected in honor of an earlier Acadian church that was built on the site before they were forced out of the province. It really is a very beautiful place with extensive gardens. The place was closing as it was getting late, but one of the caretakers let me into the church to look around. Huge, blue and violet stained glass windows depicting old acadian scenes grace the front of the church and color is amazing - different hues and tones made for a gorgeous picture.
It's Friday in big old Wolfville and I'm at home lol. Home is a good place to be as I always tell my daughters. Well, I wouldn't consider this home exactly, but its warm and safe and I'm doing well one week in to my next adventure. I'm wondering what week two will bring my way....
