It's been a bit of a quiet week, but I did manage to get a few things accomplished. The main thing was finishing up an online survey for John which we had been working on for some time. Nice to get it inched along a little further. I did get a few things done for my trip as I had expected to be house sitting this week and didn't think I would get to it while away. However, the mini-vaca from my present lodging to another has been postponed as John and Susan's trip to Britain has been cancelled. I guess the volcano in Iceland has put things off for a time. Aw well, I guess I get to hang out here for another two weeks instead.
Nicole will be here next week from Vancouver Island University to work on our project, which should help make the time go by quickly. Hopefully, that will bring my work on that project to an end and I can spend my last week here focused on getting ready for the trip back to the west coast. Even though John and Susan will be here, they have agreed to have a dinner regardless so it will be fun on Tuesday for everyone to get together. Very nice of John and Susan to have Nicole in their home even though it was supposed to me doing the hosting. I guess I'll be buying the fixings though so we can have a nice sit down. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.
So overall a quiet week, but fun nonetheless. The weather has been a bit cold and the nights seem to go below freezing. I was half expecting it to snow today, which is making the west coast sound even better. Can't wait to go back home if even for a few days. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends and Chelsey. Anywho, have a great week. Enjoy!
The picture I chose to include this week is from walk I went on recently. I went along the dykes for about 16 kilometers and this is one of the gates I found at the end of the trail. It was a glorious day and I enjoyed the time out in the sun very much. The pastures are starting to come alive with the warmer weather and it's a delight to wander along the dykes (sea wall) and take it all in.
